The over 50’s are the fastest growing sector of ‘athletes’
Having been ‘morbidly obese’ and having spent a considerable amount of time visiting nursing homes I realised that I had to move on and make some changes. Work was really no longer an excuse (it never really was) and putting off the effects of ageing and learning to enjoy spare time while discovering new things was actually exciting. Regular exercise has been proven time and again to be beneficial not just for the body, but for the mind and as someone who never expected to say it, I now wholeheartedly agree with that!
The over 50’s are the fastest growing sector of ‘athletes’. Whether rediscovering old sports and activities or finding new and unexpected pursuits for the first time, being fit and active has so many benefits and technology, supplements and advances in medicine help to make participation amongst us Third Agers so much more rewarding.
