We love the 21st century. We do.

However sometimes products and services which could be amazing just miss the mark, or their creators don’t realise there is a wider market.

“Older people” now are not “older people” who never experienced technology – everyone alive today has grown up with radio, TV, the telephone (fixed and mobile), computers and cars most of their lives!  My late grandma (born the day Queen Victoria died) and I discussed how she was the generation who went from seeing horses as the primary mode of transport in London to watching people walk on the Moon.

Magic

Advanced technology has often been described as magic – there has been some real magic in the last few years and one of the most magical is voice control – now pretty close to working as we would expect. As well as helping create a home for Tony Stark or the Jetsons, voice controlled assistants such as Amazon Alexa (Echo) and Google Home are perfect companions for everyone, especially when linked with some of the simplest home automation devices like connected lights and TV remotes.
